Seattle -- Treemo Inc., a company developing a wireless and Web social media publishing platform, has raised $2.55 million in Series A-1 financing.

New investor JK&B Capital provided the financing. Brent Brookler, chief executive of Treemo, declined to give the valuation of the company.

Based in Seattle, Treemo was founded in October 2005 by Brookler, a founder of wireless media and marketing company Mobliss Inc., which was sold to Index Group in 2004.

Treemo has developed a platform for sharing different kinds of digital media online or through wireless devices. "It's for social media sharing," Brookler said. "You can send video, audio, text and share it with your family."

Brookler said Treemo currently works in partnership with wireless carriers AT&T Inc. and Cricket Communications Inc., and hopes to expand with other wireless carriers, including into China.

Treemo raised $500,000 in Series A financing in a September 2006 angel round which included Brent Brewer, founder of MySpace Inc.; Geoff Entress, principal at Madrona Venture Group; Brian Hill, former president of Sound Leasing Corp.; Jim Judson, senior partner at law firm Davis Wright Tremaine LLP; and Colin Wong, president of Prosperati LLC. Brookler said JK&B decided to name the new round a Series A-1 because it was not considered large enough to be a B round.

Treemo has 12 employees.
